The neighborhood surrounding the Antiga Fàbrica Colomer Munmany is conditioned by its proximity to the Mèder River. This project required special care with the surrounding urban environment, and the construction was designed with special care to establish visual guidelines between the river and Mèder Avenue. In this way, we created a balance between the lower floors (living spaces) and the upper floors (offices). The lower floors are organized as a continuous series of eleven stairways around the perimeter of the block. In the construction of offices the flexibility of the ground floor is reinforced by creating a continuous facade, modulated by a sequence of vertical nerves of repeated window openings.
